Biography
Taylor Roumeliotis has 10 years of experience in ambient air sampling techniques, emission inventory development, air dispersion modeling and data/statistical analysis. He has conducted large-scale air quality impact studies using advanced air dispersion models for various industrial sectors, including cement, chemical fertilizer and petrochemical manufacturing, gold mining and ore processing, base metal smelting and food processing. Taylor also served as the technical lead on several ambient air monitoring analysis studies that examined spatial and temporal trends in pollutant concentration data using automated Excel statistical processing tools and ArcGIS software. As a researcher, he developed a method to quantify reactive gas and inorganic aerosol concentrations in environments with elevated ammonia levels, and led several emission measurement campaigns to develop emission factors and pollutant release models. Taylor has prepared several technical reports and industry factsheets, published peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, and lectured at international conferences in the field of environmental management. He earned an MSc and PhD in environmental engineering from the University of Guelph.
