Biography
When Russ Kosits came to faith as a young adult he was thrown into two very different worlds—the world of secular, academic psychiatry and psychology (as a milieu therapist at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, PA) and the world of historic biblical Christianity. In some sense, his whole life ever since has been an attempt (and struggle!) to bring those two worlds together. His passion for the integration of psychology and Christian faith led him to a career as a general psychologist, with training in professional (clinical) psychology, social psychology, the history of psychology, the teaching of psychology, and, of course, theology and the integration of faith and psychology. He’s now an incoming executive editor of Christian Psychology, the transdisciplinary journal, where he enjoys mentoring other scholars in their own integrative efforts.
