Luis Cabra Dueñas

Biography

Mr. Luis Cabra Dueñas has been Chief Executive Officer of Repsol Oil & Gas Canada Inc. since May 11, 2015. Mr. Dueñas has been an Executive Managing Director of Exploration & Production at Repsol, S.A. since May 2012. Mr. Dueñas served as General Director of Exploration & Production at Repsol, S.A. He began his career at Repsol in 1984 as Process Engineer at La Coruña Oil Refinery. He occupied several management positions in Downstream operations. Prior to this, he served as Corporate Director of Resources from 2009 to 2010, with company responsibility on areas of Research&Technology, Engineering, Procurement and HSE. From september 2010 to May 2012, he served as an Executive Director of Development and Production Upstream, with worldwide responsibility on oil&gas development projects and production operations. He has been Vice-Chairman of Repsol Oil & Gas Canada Inc. since May 11, 2015 and its Director 2015. He serves as Chairman of the Fuel Committee of the European Petroleum Industry Association, President of the European Biofuel Technology Platform as well as Member of the European Research Advisory Board. He has also served as a Head Lecturer and Associate Lecturer at the Complutense University and the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He studied Ms.Sc.(1979) and Ph.D.(1983) in Chemical Engineering by Complutense University, Madrid. Mr. Dueñas holds an MBA degree by INSEAD and also high management studies in IMD, Lausanne.
