Ryan Wiley

Biography

 Dr. Ryan Wiley is President of Shift Health. With extensive experience in strategy, economic development, opportunity evaluation, implementation planning and public-private partnerships, Ryan has successfully worked with industry, governments, academic institutions and non-profit organizations around the world. The opportunity to work with a diverse cross-section of organizations in the contexts of business, healthcare, science and policy has provided Ryan with a unique ability to envision and unlock the benefits of collaboration in healthcare and the life sciences. He has facilitated and managed effective, innovative partnerships that have opened new markets and leveraged hundreds of millions of dollars in investment, and he has worked seamlessly with the public and private sectors on economic development, health research, capacity-building and commercialization initiatives in Canada, the US, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. In addition to his work with Shift Health, Ryan is a lecturer at McMaster University, past Chair of New Leaders of Sunnybrook Foundation, Director of Women’s College Hospital Foundation,founding Co-chair of neWCHapter at Women’s College Hospital Foundation and Advisor to the Ontario Brain Institute Leadership Cabinet. Ryan holds a PhD in immunology from McMaster University and has published extensively in the areas of asthma/allergy, immunology, pharmacology and gene therapy.
