Biography
Mr. MacEachen is a business owner and previously served as President and CEO of Linear Metals Corporation from January 2008 to April 2012 as well as Executive VP of sister company, Brigus Gold Corp. (formerly Linear Gold Corp.) from October 2009 to June 2012. Mr. MacEachen also served as Chief Financial Officer of Linear Gold and Linear Metals from January 2004 to January 2008 and July 2006 to January 2008, respectively. A Chartered Accountant, with over 25 years of experience in the strategic and financial management of publicly-traded companies, Mr. MacEachen's involvement in the mining industry has spanned over 30 years, including senior positions with Franco-Nevada Mining Corporation and Aur Resources Inc. Mr. MacEachen has been a director of Avalon since 1998 and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University (1986). Chair of the Audit Committee
