Henk Hoogenkamp

Biography

 Henk Hoogenkamp was elected to the Board of the Company. Mr. Hoogenkamp will serve on the Compensation Committee, as well as the Nominating and Governance Committee. Since 2006, Mr. Hoogenkamp is an active author and independent management consultant to multiple companies. From 1983 to 1990 he was President Campina-DMV USA, now Royal FrieslandCampina, and from 1990 to 2006 served as a senior director of strategic technology with DuPont Protein. In 1978 he initiated milk protein health food concepts, including sports nutrition. Mr. Hoogenkamp has authored 14 books and chapters on the importance of dairy protein and plant protein in formulated food and meat products. He has written over 500 articles discussing protein technology and its socio-economic impact, as well as environmental sustainability for future generations. Mr. Hoogenkamp is a member of several strategic and technology advisory boards in Asia, US, and the EU. From 2007 -2012, Hoogenkamp was a board member of VSI (now Heartside Foods USA), one of world’s largest protein nutrition bar manufacturers. At present Hoogenkamp is a member of the advisory board of Perfect Day Foods, a cellular biotechnology company, based in Berkeley California. In December 1996, Mr. Hoogenkamp received an honorary doctoral degree from the Institute of Sports Medicine, in Bucharest, Romania, for his pioneering work on the effects of protein supplementation for elite sports performance, including many Olympic gold medalists.
