Biography

Mr. Brian H. Hayward, M.Sc., founded Aldare Resources in 2007 and serves as its President. Mr. Hayward served as the Chief Executive Officer of United Inc. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Agricore United from 1991 to June 2007, where he led a team that grew shareholder value at a rate above that of the Toronto Stock Exchange benchmark index and it earned recognition as one of Canada's top 200 employers and won a Smithsonian award for innovation in IT systems. He joined UGG in 1981 and held progressively more senior positions through the 1980's, finishing off the decade as Vice President of Grain Marketing and Transportation. In 1991, he became Chief Executive Officer of UGG building a team that transformed it through demutualizing a cooperative, investing in modern infrastructure and innovation in re-tooling internal systems. He serves as the Non-Executive Chairman at Farmers Edge Precision Consulting Inc. He serves as the Chairman of Arthritis Society of Manitoba. He served as the Chairman of Winnipeg Commodity Exchange. He served as the Chairman of Ridley Inc. from October 1, 2007 to November 2008. He served as an Independent Director of Glacier Media, Inc. (formerly Glacier Ventures International Corp.) since October 8, 2003 until December 31, 2015. He serves as a Director at Royal Winnipeg Ballet. He has been an Independent Director of Gendis Inc. since February 3, 2016. Mr. Hayward serves as a Director of WCE Holdings Inc. and Wellington West Holdings Inc. and Princess Auto and the Intercontinental Commodity Exchange (Canada). He serves as Director of AFGRI Limited. He has been an Independent Director of Ridley Inc. since October 1, 2007. He serves as a Director of The Conference Board of Canada and ICE Futures Canada, Inc. He served as Director of Business Development Bank of Canada from June 2008 to June 2016. He served as a Director at Hanfeng Evergreen Inc. from March 7, 2008 to March 25, 2009. He served as Director of MBAC Fertilizer Corp since March 11, 2011 until May 13, 2014. He served as a Director of GVIC Communications Corp. since October 2003.
