Biography
Dr. Larry J. Martin, Ph.D. serves as the Director of Education Services at George Morris Centre. Dr. Martin served as Chief Executive Officer of the George Morris Centre at Ridley Inc. from May 1997 to 2007. Dr. Martin served as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and General Counsel for Agricore United until June, 2007. He served as the Professor and Chairman of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Business at the University of Guelph. He served as Chairman of the Canadian Agri-Food Competitiveness Council from 1991 to 1994. He has extensive experience in competitiveness and trade issues and has facilitated the strategic visioning, planning and development of strategic alliances for many organizations. He has been a Director of Ridley Inc. since May 1997. He served on the boards of a number of agriculture industry companies. Dr. Martin is a Lawyer.
