Biography
Mr. Douglas A. Guzman, also known as Doug, has been Group Head for Wealth Management and Insurance at Royal Bank of Canada since November 1, 2015. Mr. Guzman serves as Managing Director and Head of Global Investment Banking of RBC Capital Markets LLC. He serves as Group Head of Wealth Management & Insurance for RBC Wealth Management - London of RBC Wealth Management, Inc. Previously, Mr. Guzman served as the Managing Director, Head of Global Investment Banking for Capital Markets since 2006 until November 7, 2015. He serves as Deputy Chair for Capital Markets at Royal Bank of Canada. Mr. Guzman has established deep client relationships, assisting them to achieve their objectives in a number of landmark transactions. In addition to his roles at the firm, he has held Investment Banking roles at Goldman Sachs, based out of New York and Toronto. He is a Director of St. Michael's Hospital. Mr. Guzman received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. (Honours ) in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
