Elizabeth M. Vancza

Biography

Dr. Elizabeth Vancza has extensive knowledge in toxicology, risk assessment, and environmental health and safety, in particular the evaluation of complex environmental health and safety issues, and the development of solutions and programs for pharmaceutical biotechnology companies. She also has over seven years experience in environmental toxicology, with an emphasis on inhalation toxicology, genetic susceptibility and computational genomics. Her experience includes; interpretation of data from toxicity tests, performing risk assessments including evaluating toxicological and exposure information to determine potential health and or environmental effects of chemicals, and classifying and labeling chemicals and or potent compounds in accordance with EU and U.S. regulations. She is a Registered Specialist in Safety Data Sheet and Label Authoring, as defined by the AIHA Registry Programs. Dr. Vancza supports clients by practically applying toxicological data to worker and consumer exposure situations, most notably in cases where potent and toxic compounds are being handled in the workplace. Dr. Vancza serves on the Society for Chemical Hazard Communication’s Program Committee, is a member of the Society of Toxicology, Mid-Atlantic Chapter, and is an associate member of the Society of Toxicology, National Chapter. She is a guest lecturer on genetic susceptibility and genomics at New York University Medical Center/Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
