Biography
Dr. Assem Hedayat joined the College of Dentistry faculty in July 2011 as an assistant professor of biomaterials. He received his B.Sc. (Honors) in Materials Engineering from the American University in Cairo in 1983. He earned his M.Sc. in Metallurgy from Georgia Tech in 1985, and his Ph.D. in Materials Science (Biomaterials) from Michigan State University in 1989.
Research Interest
In his Ph.D thesis, Dr. Hedayat developed a prosthesis for the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament.
