Biography
Maria Copete, earned her DDS degree from the Colegio Odontológico Colombiano in 1981. After some years in private dental practice, she undertook graduate studies in oral pathology at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio and obtained a specialty certificate in oral pathology and a Master of science degree in 1992. She obtained post-graduate training and certificate in dental diagnostic science at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1994. She completed one year postdoctoral fellowship at Temple University, School of Medicine, Department of Pathology in 1995. Maria is a fellow of the American Academy of Oral Pathology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. She is currently a professor in the College of Dentistry, University of Saskatchewan.
