Biography

Mr. Christian Ian Brown, also known as Chris, has been the Corporate Development Officer at SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. since August 15, 2016 and served as its President of Oil & Gas Sector from 2014 to August 15, 2016. Mr. Brown is responsible for the SNC-Lavalin Group’s largest business unit, with 20,000 employees and activities throughout the world. He is responsible for Business Development cross-selling as well as for driving the Operational Excellence approach. He is also responsible for managing larger merger and acquisition transactions. He served as the President of Oil & Gas at SNC-Lavalin Inc. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Kentz Corporation Ltd. since February 1, 2012. He served as Chief Operating Officer at Kentz International Limited. since August 2011. He served as an Executive Director of Kentz Corporation Ltd since February 2012. Mr. Brown served as the Group Chief Operating Officer of Kentz Corporation from August 2011 to February 1, 2012. Mr. Brown served as the Managing Director of Global Sales and Marketing at Foster Wheeler AG from January 1, 2011 to May 2011. He served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Foster Wheeler USA. Mr. Brown has more than 20 years of experience in oil and gas industry. He has world-class expertise in managing a large-revenue, high-growth engineering business, as well as extensive project experience at some of the world’s largest natural resource companies. Over the course of his career, he has worked in all corners of the globe, with considerable time spent across the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Mr. Brown served as President of Canadian Operations at KBR. He also spent 17 years at Kellogg Brown and Root, where he held roles such as Director and General Manager for Construction, Africa, Middle East & APAC. He is a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council and a Fellow of the Institution of Plant Engineers. He is a Member of the Association for Project Management and a Fellow of the Institution of Plant Engineers. He also completed the Halliburton President Leadership Excellence Programme. He holds an MBA degree from Henley Management College (United Kingdom) and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hull (United Kingdom).
