Jacques Perron, P.eng.

Biography

Mr. Jacques Perron joined the Board of Directors of the Corporation in December 2016. He has worked in the mining industry for more than 32 years and has extensive technical and operations experience. Mr. Perron was President and CEO of Thompson Creek Metals where he oversaw the start-up and ramp up of Mount Milligan mine, the transformation of the molybdenum business, the significant improvement of the safety culture and lead the process to address the debt situation that resulted in the transaction with Centerra Gold. Mr. Perron held a variety of increasingly senior management positions with St Andrew Goldfields Ltd., Cameco Inc., Placer Dome Canada Limited, Breakwater Resources Ltd., Cambior Inc., JS Redpath Ltd. and Noranda Inc. He has also been a director of the Canadian Mineral Industry Education Foundation since 2007. Mr. Perron has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from l’École Polytechnique de Montréal.
