Sayed M. Mirbod

Biography

Dr. Sayed Mirbod attended the University of Toronto where he received a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering in 1989. He then studied Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario, completing his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1993. Following six years of private practice in Ontario, he returned to graduate school and received his Master of Dentistry in Periodontics from the University of Manitoba. Dr. Mirbod specializes in management of hard and soft tissues surrounding teeth and performs surgical procedures such as crown lengthening, soft tissue grafts, bone grafts, implant placement and biopsies at his two practice locations (Halifax and Bridgewater). Dr. Mirbod is one of the partners of the Park Lane Dental Specialists and is an associate professor of Dentistry at Dalhousie University.  Doctor Mirbod moved to Nova Scotia and has been practicing in the areas of periodontics and implants in his principle clinics in Halifax, Bridgewater and Yarmouth. He joined the SouthWest Dental team as an associate periodontist in 2004. He is also teaching at Dalhousie University on a part-time basis.   Dr. Mirbod's primary clinic is located at Park Lane Dental Specialists in Halifax, NS and he travels to Yarmouth monthly to treat patients
