Biography
Bill Marshall is a Professor in Biology Department at St.Francis Xavier University, NS, Canada
Research Interest
I am a physiologist in the Biology Department with teaching interests in Animal Biology, Animal Physiology, Endocrinology and Membrane Biology. My research lab is involved with the hormonal regulation of ion transport process in epithelial membranes, specifically teleost fish gills. Our latest work involves focal adhesion kinase and the Na,K,2Cl cotransporter NKCC in chloride secreting cells. In administration, I am the NSERC representative for St.F.X. In recreation I have a summer home and enjoy sailing, hiking, biking, birding, canoeing and dog training.
