Biography
Carl is a member of Stantec’s executive vice president leadership team. Carl is the regional operating unit leader (ROUL) of our International regional operating unit where he is responsible for establishing Company’s priorities, implementing the Company’s strategic plan and vision, and the overall management and performance. With more than 30 years of experience on projects around the world, Carl’s leadership supports Stantec’s promise to design with community in mind. His experience includes transportation planning studies, functional planning studies, and economic studies of transportation improvements, as well as planning, programming, design, and construction of a wide range of roadway, rail, and transit improvements. Carl has a degree in civil engineering from the University of Alberta and joined Stantec in 1985. Carl is a noted speaker and author of a number of articles and technical guidelines and has held leadership roles in several professional organizations. Further, Carl is a registered professional engineer in Alberta, Arizona, and Montana, as well as a professional traffic operations engineer.
