Biography
Mr. David Ehrlich has been the Chief Executive Officer of Irish Residential Properties REIT plc since April 2014 and has been its Executive Director since March 31, 2014. Mr. Ehrlich serves as a Senior Partner at Stikeman Elliott LLP, where he was a member of both the corporate and real estate groups until December 2013. During his law career of over 30 years, his practice was focused on real estate and structured finance, including public real estate securities. He is actively involved with real estate investment trusts since their inception in Canada, serving for both issuers and underwriters in numerous transactions. He has also been involved with some of Canada's largest REIT merger and acquisition transactions. He serves as a Director of European Commercial Real Estate Limited. Mr. Ehrlich has been a Non-Independent Trustee of Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CAPREIT) since February 4, 2013. He serves as an Editor of Legal Texts and Spoken at Organized Numerous Real Estate Conferences. Mr. Ehrlich graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1977 and was a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers Society since 1979 (and a continuing member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1986).
