Michael M. Tumback

Biography

Mr. Michael M. Tumback serves as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Strike Energy Services, Inc and Strike Group Inc. Mr. Tumback served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Strike Energy Services, Inc. Mr. Tumback served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Services at Strike Energy Services, Inc. since July 1, 2009. Mr. Tumback served as Vice President, Finance & Corporate Services at Strike Energy Services, Inc. He serves as Director of Strike Energy Services, Inc. Mr. Tumback has held several senior financial and operational positions in the accounting, oil and gas construction services and general contracting industries. Mr. Tumback graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1980 and began his career as an articling student. He successfully obtained his designation as a Chartered Accountant in 1983 and remained in the public accounting sector, primarily with Arthur Andersen until 1989. In 1989, he left public accounting to assume a regional financial management position with Lafarge Construction Materials. In 1992, he joined Flint Engineering and Construction Ltd. as the Vice President, Finance. He remained in that role until 1999, where he served as the Canadian Chief Financial Officer and assisted in the development of the international operations in Russia. With the acquisition of Flint by SCF Partners in 1999, he moved into the general contracting sector in the role of Vice President of Finance at CANA Construction Co. Ltd. His operational focus resulted in a promotion to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2003. Mr. Tumback joined the Board of Directors of Strike Group in 2006 and later took an employment role as the Vice President, Finance in 2007. He has served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer in his tenure with Strike and is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In addition to the Strike Board of Directors, he has held Board positions with the Calgary Zoo, Merit Contractors Association, Theatre Calgary and the Calgary Convention Centre. Mr. Tumback recently completed the Directors Education Program with the Institute of Corporate Directors and received his ICD.D designation
