Biography
Mr. Chris Denys has been Senior Vice President of Possibilities, Digital Health Solutions - Sun Life Financial Canada at Sun Life Financial Inc. since August 18, 2016. Mr. Denys serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Sun Life Assurance Company Of Canada and served as its Senior Vice President of Client Solutions since 2012. Mr. Denys was responsible for overseeing the Client Solutions business, providing wealth and protection solutions and utilizing direct capabilities in product management, distribution and marketing to deepen customer relationships. Mr. Denys has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, holding senior management positions in a variety of businesses including retail, reinsurance and group benefits. Mr. Denys served as Vice President of Sponsored Markets and Finance, Client Solutions at Sun Life Assurance Company Of Canada, where he was responsible for the growth and development of the Sponsored Markets segments as well as various finance and operational accountabilities across Client Solutions. He served as Vice President of Group Benefits Finance, where he held overall leadership for the actuarial and finance functions within it and was Chief Actuary for a Canadian reinsurance company. He is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and the Society of Actuaries (FSA). He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
