Biography
Brad Ferguson, started as President and CEO of Edmonton Economic Development Corporation on August 1, 2012. A University of Alberta graduate, his private-sector experience includes positions with Procter & Gamble and KPMG. As Founder of Strategy Summit Ltd., Brad was a lead consultant on major government policy initiatives, including Alberta’s Financial Services Strategy and the restructuring of the Alberta Innovates system. As an interim CEO, Ferguson led on initiatives like Rural Alberta Development Fund and Alberta Centre for Advanced Nano-Micro Products. He was project leader on such initiatives as provincial research and educational facilities, product commercialization centres, and tourism resort developments. Ferguson currently sits on the boards of Startup Edmonton and Edmonton Symphony Society/Winspear Centre for Music. Owned by the City of Edmonton and guided by a volunteer board of business and community leaders, EEDC provides leadership in economic development, markets Edmonton as a destination, manages the Shaw Conference Centre and Edmonton Research Park, and acts as a stakeholder in TEC Edmonton, a joint venture with the University of Alberta.
