Biography
Ian joined TEC Edmonton as a Market Analyst in 2009 before moving over to Strategic Partnerships in 2011. He manages performance measures and quantitative analysis, funding agency proposals and reporting, and the annual economic outcome measures survey for TEC Edmonton. Ian has over twenty years of experience in Biotechnology (Genentech, Chiron, Syntex Research—now Roche Palo Alto, Gilead Sciences, ZymoGenetics, DNAX Research Institute, and Incyte Genomics). He managed the Genome Alberta Human Metabolome Project, co-managed the Canadian Bioinformatics Help Desk at the University of Alberta, and served as Editor of the Canadian Bioinformatics Help Desk Newsletter. He has a double Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology and French from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science from the University of British Columbia.
