Research Interest
Research in the Hudson group will focus on the development of new materials to address issues of sustainability in chemistry and materials science. Projects will examine the synthesis of organic and organometallic materials directed towards applications in sensing, printed electronics, and efficient solid-state lighting. We will also explore the synthesis of functional nanostructures from soft materials, their self-assembly into complex architectures, and their emerging applications in nanoscale electronics. Students in the Hudson group will gain skills in organic and organometallic synthesis, polymer chemistry, and nanoscience, as well as a variety of characterization techniques for electronic and nanostructured materials.
