Biography
Dr. Linke graduated first in his dental class in 1978 at the University of Alberta. He received his prosthodontic training and MSD from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington in 1983. After two years of private practice in Vancouver, British Columbia he returned to Edmonton and maintained a fulltime prosthodontic practice with emphasis on implants and fixed restorations. Dr. Linke has taught on a part-time basis at the University of Alberta during his years in private practice. In 2010 Dr. Linke accepted the position of the Head of the Division of Restorative Dentistry which includes Dental Anatomy and Occlusion, Operative, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Implants. The University of Alberta is in the process of developing a graduate program in prosthodontics that he will be directing. Dr. Linke is the President of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada. He has been President of the Canadian Association of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics and the Alberta Academy of Prosthodontists. Dr. Linke holds membership in the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics; Canadian Association of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics and the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a member of the International College of Dentists.
