Biography
Ian is the Vice President (Ontario Division) of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) with responsibility for all aspects of the CME Ontario Division, including business development, membership and policy He is the chief advocate for the Ontario Division. He holds an Honours B.A. from McMaster University, and a law degree from the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. CME is the leading national employer association with a membership of small, medium and large, from all sectors of manufacturing. Member companies produce approximately 75% of Canada’s manufactured output, and are responsible for 90% of Canada’s exports. Part of their mandate is to develop educational materials and disseminate information to members. CME has a history of supporting a voluntary approach to workplace equal opportunity.
