Biography
My research program focuses in the area of global health related to different forms of partnerships; equity, global competencies, global citizenship and social justice. I am particularly interested in exploring global educational partnerships; student and faculty partnering; and interdisciplinary research partnerships to better understand the complexities of the partnering relationships for equity, and building capacity for sustainable change. As well, I am interested in exploring how global citizenship can be embedded within the nursing curriculum. My current research projects includes: working with a global research group on areas related to homelessness and global partnerships; exploring global partnering relationships with undergraduate nursing students from different countries involved in international placements; and exploring global health competencies for nursing students and faculty involved in international work and global missions.
