David Erickson, M.a.l., M.ed.

Biography

David Erickson is the Associate Dean in the School of Human Kinetics at Trinity Western University and also serves as the Physical Education Stream Coordinator. He has over 35 years of teaching experience in a variety of educational capacities such as teacher, physical education specialist, vice principal, school principal, and university professor. He has extensive experience in coaching youth sports in both school and community programs. David is a member of the nationally recognized organization, Physical Health and Education Canada (PHE) and contributes to the editorial board for the . David has participated as part of a B.C. Ministry of Education Curriculum Review Committee for the revision of the K-7 physical education curriculum as well as being a reviewer for sport and health related university textbooks. David's background and research interests are in the areas of leadership studies, sociology of sport, and physical education pedagogy.
