Biography
Kate is a director/actor with credits from around the United States and now here in BC! Directing credits for SAMC Theatre include The Illusion and As Little Children. Other directing credits include Crime & Punishment (Pacific Theatre/Stone’s Throw Productions); Hairspray; A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Almost, Maine; The Female Odd Couple; Romeo & Juliet; The Importance of Being Earnest; Picasso at the Lapin Agile; Pericles; Auto-da-Fé (Triad Stage) and The Actor’s Nightmare (Triad Stage). As an actor, her resume includes Mukhtar Mai in Seven, Edwin Drood in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Liesl in The Sound of Music, and several roles in Taproot Theatre Company's Road Company in Seattle, WA. Kate holds a teaching certification in the Meisner Technique from Larry Silverburg’s True Acting Institute, a MA in Theatre Arts from Western Washington University, and a MFA in Directing from the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
