Biography
Dr. Ojong has been interested in the political economy and economic anthropology of financial institutions and livelihoods in the Global South, with particular reference to sub-Saharan Africa. His current research investigates the nature of trust in formal and so-called informal financial institutions, including how culture and contextual factors mediate trust-formation processes. His work has appeared in journals such as Review of Social Economy, Journal of Economic Issues, and Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development.
