Biography
Dr. Amal Abdel-Baki completed her medical education and residency in psychiatry at Université Laval in 2001. She completed a master's degree in biomedical sciences at the Université de Montréal on "factors that predict long-term evolution schizophrenia in Quebec "as well as further training in research and clinical (fellowship) at EPPIC, Melbourne, Australia with Professor Patrick McGorry's team (leader of the international movement for detection and early intervention for psychosis).
Research Interest
On the factors influencing the functional and symptomatic evolution, remission and recovery and use of services for young people with non-emotional psychotic disorders (eg schizophrenia) or affective disorders (eg bipolar disorder with psychotic characteristics).
