Biography
Professor Elitza Tocheva holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of British Columbia. She then completed postdoctoral studies at the California Institute of Technology and worked for several years, including two as a Senior Research Fellow. At the Université de Montréal, Elitza Tocheva heads a laboratory where she carries out research on bacterial ultrastructure, cryotomography in electron microscopy and correlated optical and electron microscopy.
