Research Interest
My master's project aims to estimate different metabolic rates, in two species of krill at different temperatures, via a physiological approach: respirometry. My objectives are to (1) simultaneously measure oxygen consumption and krill swimming speed, (2) estimate standard metabolic rate (MSR), maximum metabolic rate (TMR), aerobic registry (RA) and krill swimming speed at six different temperatures, and (3) estimate the optimum temperature for RA.
