Biography
Dr. Mohamed Drira is Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of New Brunswick. He holds a PhD in Accounting from HEC Montreal (University of Montreal), an MSc in Accounting from the University of Sherbrooke, and a BSc in Accounting (Honours) from IHEC Carthage. He also holds the CPA and CGA designations. Mohamed’s scholarly interests are in Corporate Governance, Auditing and Assurance, Internal Control, Enterprise Risk Management, Financial Accounting, and Accounting and Audit Analytics.
Research Interest
Mohamed’s research spans a broad range of topics including auditor professional judgment, auditor’s client acceptance and continuance decisions, auditor skepticism, financial statements restatements, CEO compensation, CEO power, and the Too-Big-To-Fail problem. His research has been supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Canadian Academic Accounting Association, CPA Canada, the University of New Brunswick, and the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of New Brunswick at Fredericton.
