Biography
Neuro-Oncologist, a Neurologist with special training in investigation and treatment of cancer of the nervous system. My particular expertise is in chemotherapy treatment for patients with primary brain tumors. I also am particularly interested in investigation and treatment of meningeal carcinomatosis.
Research Interest
main research involves clinical trials for patients with brain and other nervous system tumors. I am also involved as an adviser in the design and implementation of clinical trials for patients with brain tumours. For newly diagnosed patients these trials include both radiation and chemotherapy and are carried out in collaboration with Radiation Oncologists. There are also chemotherapy trials for patients with recurrent brain tumors. I participate in several research groups that carry out cooperative national and international trials, including the National Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group, Canadian Brain Tumor Consortium and Radiation Therapy Oncology Group.
