Research Interest
Our research utilizes synthetic chemistry with biochemical techniques to investigate the mechanism of activity of various neurotrophic natural products. Strategies include obtaining derivatives of these natural products, which can serve as mechanistic probes, as well as developing new tool reactions that can be used in living cellular systems. Our area of research spans traditional synthetic chemistry, organometallic catalysis, and chemical biology.
