Research Interest
Research Interests / Laboratory Techniques Perioperative organ damage frequently occurs in multi morbid patients and is a major concern. Our translational research projects in humans (volunteers), patients, and in animal models investigate the mechanisms underlying novel therapies of organ protection, specifically heart protection by the aid of proteomics, transcriptomics, genetics, and more recently metabolomics. Our projects also investigate mechanisms of organ protection by stem cell therapies.
