Research Interest
Current Research Dr. Brémault-Phillips is: Principal Investigator of a NESHW-funded multi-site study in acute care, supportive living, and long term care aimed at enhancing the capacity of front-line staff to manage responsive aggressive behaviours by employing the P.I.E.C.E.S. best-practice process. Principal Investigator of a province-wide NESHW-funded study focused on developing and evaluating an implementation and sustainability framework for a Decision-Making Capacity Assessment (DMCA) Model aimed at guiding the best-practices of service providers and the system when assessing individuals whose decision-making abilities have come into question. Co-Applicant on a CIHR-funded study: Intervention to improve perinatal outcomes following the 2016 Alberta wildfires: administration, effectiveness and community implementation Co-Principal Investigator of a NAAFP-funded study examining the experience of family physicians conducting decision-making capacity assessments Co-Investigator on a CIHR-funded study implementing and evaluating a multi-component online resource for caregivers of persons with dementia. Co-Investigator on an AIHS-PRHIS grant focused on optimizing seniors surgical care on an elder-friendly surgical unit.
