Biography
Dr. Arden Barry completed his bachelor of science in pharmacy from the University of British Columbia in 2006, his Pharmacy Practice Residency with Vancouver Coastal Health/Providence Health Care in 2008, and his doctor of pharmacy from the University of British Columbia in 2010. He went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular pharmacotherapeutics from the Division of Cardiology, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, at the University of Alberta in 2012. In 2011, he became one of the first 150 pharmacists in Alberta to be granted his Additional Prescribing Authorization.
Research Interest
Dr. Barry’s research interests include cardiovascular risk reduction, with a primary focus on optimization of preventive pharmacotherapy for secondary risk reduction, as well as chronic disease state management, knowledge translation, and pharmacy practice.
