Biography
Eldon Shaffer earned his MD at Queens University and completed his clinical training as a rotating intern and then in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at McGill University. He then obtained certification by examination in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology from the Royal College, the Quebec College and the American Board of Internal Medicine (Diploma), respectively. Dr. Shaffer did three years of research in biliary research as an MRC Research Fellow at Boston University, School of Medicine under the tutelage of Don Small and Bob Donaldson.
