Biography
Originally from Vancouver, David Byrne is a music theorist, conductor and clarinetist. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Music Theory at University of Cincinnati, where he taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate-level courses in music theory and musicianship. Between September 2011 and May 2013, David was a visiting instructor of music theory at the University of Manitoba. David is thrilled to join the Desautels Faculty of Music, and is eagerly looking forward to working again with the faculty’s students, professors and staff.
