Biography
Since receiving my Ph.D., I have been teaching in the Department of Psychology at the University of Manitoba. My applied activities have been largely devoted to developmental disabilities and sport psychology. I have served as staff training and programming consultant to numerous treatment facilities for persons with developmental disabilities and/or autism in several provinces in Canada, several states in the U.S.A., and in Brazil and Peru. I have also served as sport psychology consultant for numerous athletes in several sports, and provided a sport psychology program for the Manitoba Provincial Figure Skating team for a number of years. I�ve served on the editorial board of seven psychology journals and was a member of the Behavioral Science Committee of the Medical Research Council of Canada for a cumulative total of 13 years (4 years as Chairperson).
Research Interest
My recent research in autism has focused largely on training instructors and parents to conduct discrete-trials teaching sessions with children with autism. Recent references include:
