Biography
Mary Bertone graduated from the dental hygiene program at the University of Manitoba in 2005 (RDH), where she went on to complete her Bachelor of Science degree (BSc. DH) in 2011 and her Master of Public Health degree (MPH) in 2015. Mary has served as the Director of University of Manitoba’s School of Dental Hygiene since 2014. She is a registered dental hygienist with a passion for oral health promotion to underserved segments of the community, having worked extensively with the University of Manitoba’s Centre for Community Oral Health (CCOH) in the decade preceding her role as Director. Mary has served as President of both the Manitoba Dental Hygienists Association and the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association, and on numerous local, provincial and national level boards and committees.
