Biography
Dr. Peeler possesses a wealth of experience working in the fields of applied musculoskeletal anatomy, clinical orthopaedics, and sports rehabilitation. He has held professional accreditation as a Certified Athletic Therapist – CAT(C) through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association since 1992, and since this time has worked with numerous professional, national, and CIS athletes and teams. His research focuses on the development of new and innovative treatments that can be used in the rehabilitation and management of injuries to the knee. Dr. Peeler has extensive experience teaching musculoskeletal anatomy and clinically applied coursework at both the undergraduate and graduate levels across a broad spectrum of the health science programs including Kinesiology, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, the Physician’s Assistant program and Medicine.
Research Interest
Dr. Peeler’s primary research interests and expertise lie in the areas of applied musculoskeletal anatomy, and clinical orthopaedics/rehabilitation, with an emphasis on validity & reliability testing of musculoskeletal assessment and intervention/rehabilitation techniques that are designed to enhance patient care and musculoskeletal function.
