Research Interest
She is interested in the diagnosis, etiology and treatment of gynecological pain, especially dyspareunia and vaginismus. My current research focuses on the evaluation of the effectiveness of cognitive, behavioral and medical interventions in the treatment of dyspareunia, as well as the role of affective, cognitive and conjugal variables in the maintenance of this problem. My work led to the development of a cognitive-behavioral program integrating pain management and sexual therapy for the treatment of women with dyspareunia.
