Research Interest
Walter Bossert obtained a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Karlsruhe in 1988. He has taught at the University of British Columbia, the University of Waterloo, and the University of Nottingham in Great Britain. Walter Bossert has been a professor in the Department since 2000 and is a researcher at CIREQ. The majority of his research activities concern the analysis of the links between social choice theory and ethics, using mathematical techniques. He works particularly on indicators of social well-being, the theory of individual and collective decisions and the rationality of economic choices. Read his interview in L' Éconolien number 2 .
