Research Interest
Lars Ehlers came to the University of Montreal in 2001. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Maastricht University in 2001 and graduated in Mathematics from the Aachen University of Technology in 1997. He is an elected member of the Council of the Society for Social Choice and Welfare and a member of the Board of the Society for Economic Design . In the competition for SSHRC's 2003 Standard Research Grants, her research proposal was ranked first in Canada. In 2012, the Society for Social Choice and Welfare awarded him the 6th Social Choice and Welfare Prize . He is responsible for the microeconomic theory group at CIREQ. Currently, his research deals with the manipulation of matching mechanisms in labor markets, the allocation of indivisible objects and externalities in cooperative environments. Areas of expertise: Microeconomic theory, Theory of pairing, Social choice.
