Biography
I obtained a BA and MA at New York University in the Department of Media, Culture and Communication (MCC) and a Ph.D. in the Joint Program in Communication and Culture at York University and Ryerson University in Toronto (Ph.D. 2013). I then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Sensorium: Center for Digital Arts and Technology at York University, and at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver for which I received a Mitacs Rising Postdoctoral Fellowship. I also worked in the publishing world, first with Continuum Publishing in New York (2001-2006) and then as editorial director of the Canadian magazine PUBLIC: Art Culture Ideas(2010-2016). I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at the Université de Montréal since June 2016, where I participate in the D.É.SS Faculty of Arts, Creation and Technology and am co-leader of the Artefact Lab.
