Research Interest
Kempeneers Marianne's Research focuses on the transformations of the family, work and public policies (Church / State) from the end of the 19th century to the present day. These transformations reflect an in-depth reorganization of the methods of care for early childhood and old age. and critical periods of existence. In this perspective, a vast project in progress since 2004 on "Biographies and family solidarities in Quebec". Some of the topics covered in this research include women in contemporary history, childhood and old age in the crosshairs of experts, grandparents and intergenerational transmission, sibling relationships, family migration, reproduction and the bio-politics of the populations.
