Biography
Lacourse Eric IS A Professor Ph.D., 2000, Psychology Research / Intervention, University of Montreal Postdoc, 2002, Methodology and Statistics, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. C5104 at University of Montreal, Department of Sociology, Canada. He teaches mainly online courses in research methodology and statistics. ( Registration to the three course modules on Praxis ) He obtained his Ph.D. in Quantitative Method from the Department of Psychology at the University of Montreal specializing in structural equation models, including confirmatory factor analysis. Subsequently, He did postdoctoral studies at the Carnegie Mellon University Heinz School of Public Policy and Management. I developed an expertise in mixing models to analyze longitudinal data. Recently, He also co-authored a book with Catherine Malboeuf-Hurtubise on mindfulness meditation for children: Malboeuf-Hurtubise, C., and Lacourse, É, Mission Meditation . Les Éditions Midi Thirty. He have a multidisciplinary and collaborative perspective. He appreciate the practices suggested by Open Science and the research tools offered by the Open Science Framework . This video presentation gives an overview of part of my research career. Recently, his work has focused on the application of longitudinal analyzes to genetically informative specifications (twins) and single case experimental designs. He is also interested in the implementation of complex and "adaptive" experimental designs in schools and hospitals.
