Research Interest
As adults, we are often amazed by the speed and ease of learning of a young child. The factors that influence the development of the child are multiple. My research program aims to better understand the brain mechanisms involved in the learning processes of children and very young children. Study of the brain mechanisms of learning of the healthy child. Links with normal brain development, sleep / wake cycles, nutrition, family environment, child self-regulation ... Secondly, I am interested in pathologies that sometimes occur at key moments in the child's development and that are sometimes deleterious to brain, cognitive and emotional development. For example, I am studying the effects of epilepsy caused by a developmental lesion and epilepsy that has no apparent cause. Methods of investigation: brain imaging (structural and functional), electrophysiology (EEG / MEG), behavior (eye tracking, neuropsychological tests).
